Carolina roared into Tucson for the Dust Devil National Flat Track Derby Tournament this weekend. Day one of the round robin tourney featured four mini bouts for the team. They battled past Sin City 42 to 26 in their first bout. In their second bout, they routed Houston 26 to 5. The third bout of the day found them losing to Minnesota 28 to 25 in a closely contested match. They bounced back in bout four with a huge win over Assassination City by a score of 46 to 9. Their 3 wins on the first day set them up as the 8th seed going into the "Terrible Twelve". Day two found them with an early bout against Bay Area, which they won 107-77. This win set them up for semi-final bout against #1 seeded Texas, who ousted Carolina from the tourney by a score of 177-65. Kudos to The Carolina Rollergirls for representing us so well, and for making it to the final eight in this 20 team tourney.
